HR Manager

The Company Founded in 1987, our client is a global leader in the building materials industry. Their USA plant is located in the Savannah, GA area.   The Position The Human Resources Manager is a key member of the plant's management team. S/he will report to the Corporate Global VP Human Resources and will oversee, be responsible for, and manage all day-to-day human resources for the plant. Direct reports include: Recruit Specialist and Payroll & Benefits Administrator. Duties & Responsibilities o               Preparing the annual human resources budget. o               Carrying out projects linked to human resources, including training programs and executive development. o               Recruiting and staffing; o               Organizational departmental planning; o               Performance management and improvement systems; o               Organization development; o               Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees; o               Employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training; o               Policy development and documentation; o               Employee relations; o               Company-wide committee facilitation; o               Company employee and community communication; o               Compensation and benefits administration; o               Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; o               Charitable giving; o               Employee services and counseling. o               Resolves conflicts and provides coaching and counseling on human resources matters for functional or organizational leadership. o               Meeting the personal objectives plan. o               Health and safety of the workforce. o               Development of a superior workforce. o               Development of the Human Resources department. o               Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance. o               Personal ongoing development. Additional Notes o               Reports directly to the Corporate Global Vice President of Human Resources. o               Hands-on approach; family oriented at work. o               Heavy importance on labor laws, development, and recruitment.   Experience, Skills & Abilities The Ideal Candidate o               8+ years minimum experience in human resources management for a company in a relatable field. o               Experience designing, planning & implementing human resources programs and policies for: staffing, compensation, benefits, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training and health & safety. o               Excellent human relations and interpersonal communication. o               Extensive knowledge of labor, wage and benefits laws. o               Loyal, Thorough, Sensitive, Empathetic, An overall view. o               Self-starter who can work independently. o               Organizational perception, Team player & Meticulous. o               Experienced and knowledgeable computer user. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook). o               Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. o               Plus: Oracle ERP experience, PHR certified (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR certified (Senior Professional in Human Resources).? o                Education Bachelor's degree in a related area? The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
