As Construction PM I Contractor, you will help navigate our new store and remodel pipelines, ensuring all projects are completed on time, on budget, and meets the organization's standards.
Your attention to detail balanced with your project management skills will be your keys to success as you outline and help develop projects from inception to execution.
As a contractor, you may be eligible to convert into a full-time permanent Team Member during or after the contract period.
The contract length for ResponsibilitiesAct as a Project Manager on the Construction Team to facilitate project progress, manage change orders, construction schedules, and ensure approved designs are executed accordingly.
Develop relationships with General Contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers and maintain those relationships to ensure project success across the company's nationwide footprint of locations.
Review project documents, including contracts, plans, bids, and scopes of work for a thorough understanding of each project.
Coordinate installations for network, security, signs, and delivery of FF&E with internal teams and outside vendors.
Manage and organize contract documents and addenda, and ensure all documents are properly archived.
Ensure warranty work for all projects is completed and documented according to TMX standards in a timely manner.
Partner and collaborate with members of the Real Estate and Leasing department, IT department, Marketing department as well as other members of the Construction department as required for each project.
Complete other essential duties and responsibilities as needed.
Physical demands for this position frequently include:
the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field Valid Driver's License 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or a combination of commercial and residential construction in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Familiarity of construction methods and materials as they relate to both new construction and tenant improvements/fit outs Understanding of trade responsibilities within the overall construction contract Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills Familiarity with construction contract law principles and terminology Ability to balance attention to detail with the need to maintain a constant workflow Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and Publisher Minimal travel with personal vehicle may be required Preferred Qualifications and Skills General Contractor License Revit and/or AutoCAD experience Experience with Adobe software products Experience with Smartsheet Experience with Service Channel Trade Certifications/Trade licenses Experience with Microsoft Office What We OfferThe Team You'll JoinThe Construction PM I Contractor is a member of the Construction Team, part of the Location Development Group which brings our stores to life from idea to implementation!
